You can now add the newest season's worth of anime (without info being up)

Here at Anime-Planet my concern has always been quality - the reason why we don't put up blank information is because I want people to trust that anything they look up will have unique, high quality content (none taken from elsewhere). For this reason, in the past, we'd only add new season anime after 4+ episodes. This wasn't ok for many of you who want to keep track of anime as you are watching it - especially for the new season.

So we've reluctantly allowed users to add anime from the brand new season to their lists, even though no info is up. This is being done under the assumption that by the end of the new season, the synopsis/screenshots will be submitted by users.

If an anime isn't airing yet, you can mark it want to watch/wont watch.

If an anime is airing, you can mark any status.

You can't make recommendations until all of the info is up.

This season is now added - see the "recently added anime' link on the anime home for the list. I'll add season info to them tomorrow. Not sure why hell girl 3 is shwing up twice inn the recent anime list.

Well from that list I can see 2 that I will happily do entries for cause I'm eagerly awaiting them :) and another 1 that I'm very likely to be do as well.

So with this new setup, when the series have their information up will they be added to the recently added anime section again? Since although they've technically been added the information has only just been submitted.

Also, why would you need to re-add them?

If people want the anime on their list, they'll do a search for it and then find it. Once an anime is added, surely it can just be left on the database as it is for information to be contributed? Or am I missing something?

i think the key is drawing attention to the fact that the info has been added... as people might want to look up what AP has to say once it's up ^_^

Yeah, with me, most of the series that are added when they are currently airing which I start to watch, I first find out about by seeing the recently added anime list on here, so I check it out and think, ooo that sounds good!

I'm not a fan of new animes with little episodes, I like them very long - but I love this idea still.
