Add recommendations feature is back up!
you can now once again add recommendations to the site. this includes a better flow for newbies to recommending.
as with profile comments, there are some caveats: 1. the layout/design of the page looks HORRIBLE - we figured it was better to get it up period rather than wait to style it nicely 2. there's no delete button yet 3. moderation is down for another dayish - PLEASE READ THE RULES AND DON'T MAKE RELATED ANIME RECS. they'll be filtered out later anyways, so make my life easier by actually reading the rules and not breaking them. 4. even if you had activated yourself to make recs before, youll have to do it again. as a refresher make sure you read the page before clicking "i understand the rules" 5. Quick links to the anime you are recommending, or info on the anime you are recommending, not up yet 6. If you have made a reverse rec already for a pair, checking the "add reverse" will update the reverse's reason with the original's reason (if you changed it). but, in v2 the text would change (so if youve made the reverse rec, "add reverse" would say "update reverse"). this will be back in place soon, but for right now it's not easily apparant if you've made the reverse rec already. i think that's it, but i'm tired... let me know if you run into anything weird

ETA: I just had a thought. I wanna rec something based on a similar feel, but the feel of the series came through better in the manga. Can I still make the rec? The rec by the way was Extra <---> Battle Angel Alita. The feeling of robots running amok and of their own accord was better approached in the manga than the anime.

anarchicq- You mean the manga/anime for alita? I watched the anime a few days ago & then started reading the manga. It's 2 almost completely different stories, many of the major events are left out of the anime, and stuff is taken from widely seperated parts of the manga & just thrown together haphazzardly. I thought the anime was pretty good, until I read the manga & realized what a hodge-podged, rushed-out-the-door monstrosity the anime truly was.
