yeah wtf, this is EXTREMELY NOT NEEDED RIGHT NOW. wait to see the design first, please. we've spent four weeks working NONSTOP to get this up - it wont be perfect at first because we dont have time - but i am very experienced with usability, seo and other factors which have gone into making this design. it wont appeal to every single person, but it sure as hell works for the decisions we made about the site

Just keep in mind that people are far more likely to voice an negative opinion over a positive one, so for every negative comment there are countless unspoken positive ones.

Rather than getting perturbed by each unhappy post, just take it as an indicator that a hundred more people are pleasantly satisfied and have no reason to complain.

(At least, that always works for me XD)

Lastly, as someone who really appreciates all the work and sweat you've put into this site and who knows how frustrating web development can be (I'm seriously considering starting a clinic for people who have lost their minds entirely thanks to IE), I wanted to thank you as sincerely as one anonymous person can thank another anonymous person on the internet.

Thank you for every thing you've done, and for putting up with the torrent of irritation that is the internet.

((Also, it looks amazing -- it is clean and easy to understand, A-P has always looked better than the other anime-related sites I've been to, and this new look sets the bar even higher.))

I agree with that in full. When things are working well, everyone's either using the site or watching anime they found from here. There's no time to say simple thanks. But once something little breaks everybody loses their minds!

Once the site does return to even partial function, you'll probably see a thread with a few people saying thanks, but eveyone will forget the site was even broken 15 minutes after they notice it's up. It's a thankless job, but eveyone thanks you for doing it, even if they don't audibly say it.


And to everyone who says that this needs to hurry up, This is the internet, there is virtually no limit to the amount of ways you can find anime. (this site just happens to be the best ^_^) But temporarily you can run elsewhere.

And if for some reason, you find yourself unable to use Google, just go watch one of these:

They should keep you busy for a while, very good anime and seem to be not as popular as they should be.

The majority of people who DID see and use the site on a daily basis (ohsnapgasp!) agree that the new site looks amazing. I personally loved the old site and knowing V3 will be even better than the best is awesome. It's like how much more best could this be? And the answer is none. None more bla-erm...best.

No comments until the site is actually up. As long as basic stuff work (like everyones anime database), I don't mind waiting for the rest of the features.
