Reverse Recommendations?
It seems to me that simply because <Anime A> is recommended for those who like <Anime B>, the reverse isn't necessarily true(i.e. recommendations only point one way)
Is there a way I can view what recommendations points inwards rather than outwards? I feel like it's an obvious question/feature but I couldn't find an answer anywhere on here |
Re: Reverse Recommendations?
It used to be a feature, but when Sothis redesigned the Rec, she didn't re-implement it, though I do believe it will return in time. I liked that function.

Re: Reverse Recommendations?
i dont think that's what he's asking... he wants to find out, for example, "show me all series which have a recommendation for miyu"... in which case the answer is, this doesn't exist. it would be difficult to code into the current design and i'm not sure it would be used enough to warrant all the work :) but i can see why once in awhile someone might be curious to see such a thing...

Re: Reverse Recommendations?
2StateofEWhiz: Many times, when people think a rec will work both ways, they just make the recommendation to appear for both anime. So, by and large, you'll find the relevant recs already.
Of course, the reverse function wouldn't hurt, but it would be more of a curiosity. |
Re: Reverse Recommendations?
yeah, i can at least see the merit, given how often i'll, say, recommend a good anime for a bad one, but not the other way around. if there was a simple way of building it into the UI I would, but i think, frankly, that it would confuse more people than it would help. it's pretty astonishing how much really basic things confuse people (given the english barrier, i'd imagine), so yeah. :)
