I dont know, some people might use that function. I personally wouldnt. But a 'my top anime' or 'favorites' filter would be sweet. Cant wait to see the personal URL feature, and the new user profiles. Things are looking really good, thanks for working so hard on this!

Yah, can't wait to put in my 'top favourites'. As for 'I will never watch' function, I would never actually use it. It's kinda silly outright rejecting something you don't even know. *shrug*

Can the "Recommendations" stat in the profile page be a link just like the "Total Anime", "Watching", "Watched" and the rest ?

That's for the case I would like to view all the anime for which someone made recs. Exactly the list one sees when clicking the "My Recommendations" link in her/his profile.

I'm also for this option:

A way to see all the new entries in anirec since last visit. Or at least a way to see more than the last five entries sorted by date.

the latter is 100% on the list of things to be finished very, very soon... the former is actually a good idea. i have been trying to figure out how to show a list of the recs, but you are right... i could just have a filter on their page for what they've seen with recs. good idea!

eventually i might want to expand that further, though, and have a note that says what series they recommended for the anime in question, so if a person wants to go read the recs, they have an easier time finding them.

You're crediting me for more than I said, to be honest ! ^^

My idea was to simply show the list one sees when she/he clicks on the "My Recommendations" link in the user panel, but without the "edit" button.

What you said is much better but would probably involve this:

Right now I imagine the "watched/watching/dropped list" is powered by a separate table from the "recommendation" one. If the "watched/watching/dropped list table" is going to be linked to the "recommendations table", I magine the simplest way to implement it would be a new column in the "watched/watching/dropped list table" where you fill in the identifier for the coresponding anime entry in the "recommendation table". That would mean the "watched/watching/dropped list table" as it is now needs to be updated by inserting for each user all the anime that are in the "recommendation table" for that user. Those anime could be marked as "watched" most likely, since a rec should be made after watching the entire anime.

This would also mean that when one makes a recommendation, that anime needs to be automatically inserted in her/his "watched" list.

(I hope I'm not too confusing... I know I' not very good at describing things and I'm making assumptions on how the database is designed)

Lots of things to modify. Maybe it's simpler for now to keep the "recommendation table" and the "watched/watching/dropped list table" independent one from another. And when clicking on the "My recommendation" link on the user panel or the "Recommendations" stat in the profile page to show the same list generated from the current "recommendation table". The "edit" button would be shown only for the logged in user when she/he watches her/his list. No edit button shown in all the other cases.

hey, i like the features added on the site.. it make my hobbie of finding new anime much easier, however, with the watching tab features, is it possible to show what episode your up to when looking other than the list of anime saved?

thanks
