I only have a few suggestions for the Animals theme, because I still haven't seen a wide range of anime yet. And I'm sure not all of them are going to be plausible for this, but here you go anyway. xD

- Chi's Sweet Home, Chi's New Address
- Air
- Animal Crossing
- Arakawa Under the Bridge, Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
- Fruits Basket
- Pokemon (series or movies)

Well this theme is popular with recommendations

Here are two movies which fit nicely and are awesome:

Coo: Tooi Umi Kara Kita Coo | Anime-Planet
Arashi no Yoru Ni | Anime-Planet

I'm really looking forward to this btw :)

Hopefully someone decides to sub it someday. I've noticed the WMT series are getting a bit more attention recently (Like Les Miz), but I doubt this is one of the popular ones :(

I know it has been subbed since my friend has an old set of vhs fansubs for it sitting out in storage.

OTAKU MARATHON!!

I don't know if this one has been attempted.. and for those who survived it, who was there to tell?, but since there will always be anime about Otaku, I figure we as otaku could go forth and watch the anime that has most unfortunately been created for us. Some of this is weird stuff, but it would be nice to break away from the usual every once in a while.

Here's my list, help come up with more if your interested!
Welcome to the NHK!
Genshiken
Doujin Work
Comic Party
Kuragehime
Otaku no Video
Hen Zemi (TV)

Does a seiyuu-oriented marathon sound like a good idea?

For example, if the seiyuu was Jun Fukuyama, the selected anime for the marathon has Jun voicing at least one of the characters. Example of anime for Jun Fukuyama: Nurarihyon no Mago, xxxHolic, Gakuen Heaven, Pandora Hearts, Spice and Wolf, etc.

We would only be able to use seiyuus that have a lot of anime under their belt in order to have a variety to choose from.
