Yay! I'm starting the "Toriko" thread! :-)
Okay, I have a question -- I looked up the show on Wikipedia to get an idea of when it is ending for the season, and I see that they have 27 episodes listed (of which the first 23 are on Hulu right now). Does anyone know if this is going to be a year-long running anime like "One Piece" or "Sgt. Frog," or is the current run ending soon?
I never followed the manga, but I started watching it in order to have some kind of review for my writing gig on my blog and paying gig. My impressions from the first episode onward, which I have stated in other places and this word still sticks in my head whenever I think of the show, have been that it is really goofy. But it's entertaining in its goofiness, so I keep watching.

The manga is a thousand times better than the anime, unfortunately.
No idea about the planned length for the anime, but take in consideration that:
-The studio is Toei, well known for its countless long-running shonen (One Piece, Dragon Ball, Hokuto no Ken...)
-Toriko is a major hit in Japan right now - so much that it already seems to be replacing Bleach in the ''Big Three''.
-There should still be plenty of material to animate.
-It's easy as hell to create fillers for this.

We already have a thread for Toriko
This is also not the right section for this show. As this is a currently airing anime, it belongs in the Currently Airing board.
