This threads purpose is to report spam accounts (mainly for the forum, but if there were some on the users site, those too), especially those which have zero post counts where you cannot use the report button.

@admins: Please delete this threads follow up posts or move to completed once accounts banned/deleted.
 
How can you tell if someone's spamming or just batshit insane?
 
yes, the latest was rather about unsolicited forum private messages, but there are several ways a spammer can use to advertize (with certain URLs):
  • Forum Accounts with zero posts but with certain keywords/interests
  • Forum Signatures
  • New forum threads (spammers try to post in various sub forums)
  • Posts in threads which have nothing to do with the topic (ie, those recent hello new user)
  • Private Messages (PMs) on the forum
  • Site Account Profiles/blog posts
 
Spring-clean from 01-01-2010 till Today. Mods should check the Userlist(s) once for a while (TBD: last year(s)).
Dear Easter bunny please add more mods and don't forget to IP/host ban and censor spammed domains.

:hamster: Apparently the barrier to join the forum is at least non-existant for site-pammers...

I came to the conclusion that it's pretty useless to report site spam, forum one at least gets dealed with. The reasons might vary from lack of time till lack of site mods/infrastructure though, which i pity.
