If you tried to link your Facebook or Twitter accounts in the last 1-2 days, there was a server upgrade issue that caused it to fail. It will work now - you might need to re-link your accounts, to check, go to your edit profile page and see if the table of auto-posting options shows up for twitter and/or facebook.
Note that the 'sign in with [service]' button text doesn't change (it's a widget from twitter/facebook that we can't control), so the button text won't be a good indication.
