Date A Live 2

I'll be here with you as well. Although the first season was pointless it was still thoroughly entertaining for some reason.

I've finished a majority of the shows I was watching, so I might try to squeeze in season one before season two starts. I've had Date A Live on my list for a while now and I wouldn't mind watching the second season with you guys. :drinking:

I despised the first season of this, yet because of my completionism i'll have to sit through this disgusting show for a second time around.

Do not want.
I watched the first season of this because I knew I was assigned the second season, and I also suffer from completionism. I didn't think S1 was -that- bad. Not good. But not as bad as I'd feared. Still, the premise got old really quickly, so not looking forward to another whole season of it.
Oh goody, another person to suffer along with me on a weekly basis
We who are compelled to watch. feel pity for us!

Found my source and will be starting today!

Episode 1
So, lots of recaps in this episode to remind me of what has been happening, and a good thing too, because I needed the refreshers! Reacquaint myself with the characters again... I had this down as a meh, so-so harem fest in my mind, so pleasantly surprised to see MUCH better animation quality than I'd remembered. More interesting plot than I'd remembered. I didn't realize how much I'd just erased from my memory for this show! Actually enjoyed this episode much more than I expected, as I was anticipating really disliking this for some reason. (I wonder why, since I didn't despise the first season the way Brad did?)

Because I love you people who have to do this for The Lottery, drawing the spotted paper if you will, I will join up because sequels are generally less plot-intensive than the original.

Episode 2

Well, that was more of the same, but it already is setting up the plot for this season... how considerate.

*Etue remembers Maken-ki! season 2 being completely filler.

Yeah, this anime is already more plot driven than maken-ki!season 2 with one episode, how silly.

Maken-Ki Season 2 had titty plots, which I guess isn't actually plot... But completely filler  Just like half of the first season with it's pointless shenanigans and rushed crappy ending. That payoff was so hilariously bad that it was just plain bad.

Guess the first episode must have been a date episode.

I kid! It was probably a continuation of the final, climatic confrontation to the death of the first season's final episode, unless I'm thinking of the pre-final episode and the final episode wrapped up a bunch of stuff including said battle and made everything square and neatly wrapped in a bow-tie package so we can start fresh and shining in the new season.

Aw nuts to it, I'm watching it now.

All I'm going into the second season with in terms of expectations, is to smile at least once per episode. Then it wont make the experience completely terrible. . . right?

Date A Live I thought did a decent job with its plot season 1. The non-bouncing kind. I'm hoping the same holds true for season 2.

Plus, I'm happy to have more of this Infinite Stratos and World God Only Knows hybrid, even if I enjoy it less than either of those.

Episode 1

What the shit? Flashback? Who doesn't remember humanity getting the proverbial Jailhouse Special? But it's still near seeing shit get fucked up in a gravity-altering psychowave of destruction and purple with black is always awesome.

Spatial Quake? More like SPACE QUAKE, am I right? That always has to be near caps.

I thought it was a SPACE QUAKE, but it was- Wait, what? Oh, emotions trigger SPACE QUAKES. Sad emotions, or quite possibly ang- What? Yoshino is ice? Right, I forgot. Thanks for reminding me. Really, thanks.
Heh, this guy has it rough, constantly.

Dat uniform :megusta: But look at this trash trying to convict or... whatever to Origami, those sons o' bitches. That's a military tribunal and law for you.
School trip! I sense a plot point and more new wenches for his harem!

Origami got off with 2 months of suspension, damn straight it was lowered from 15-life.
Vacation. what ever happened to that hot time-altering gun chick?

The twin chicks with orange hair? Does that mean he's getting the twin special?
Heh, that soap opera was cheese. Should have shown more.

Heheh, women's restroom and needlessly pointless panty shot. How relevant that it leads up to more recaps.
Not satis- oh, she meant revenge and stuff. Nevermind.

Hm, she is raising some good points. She killed him before, tried to kill his sister, and he's totally cool with it all.

Porn! Porn porn porn porn porn. She is so finding his porn. If for some inexplicable reason she stops cleaning his room, she will not find the porn and his fetishes.

Heheheh, it's like the soap opera, but half as cheese.

Shido is probably buying some naughties. Except he's still with Origami in a women's bathroom stall.
I'm surprised he's not found yet.

YES YES SAY YES GO ON A DATE WITH ORIGAMI DATE A ORIGAMI. DATE A ORIGAMI

Hah! I crack myself up. That title switch was brilliant.

This will get delightfully misunderstood.
Oh Origami, you're do adorable trolling a person who is easily manipulated, and this music is just adding to it.
Hah! Shit's getting wrecked!

Multiple choice time! Must be! And time for SPACE QUAKES.

How much yen do they spend on figuring out what choice Shidou should make?

Heheheheh, it's called Date A Live and they're going on a date.

Way to kill your college fund- Oh, they're sold out. Everybody else is sold out too. Not karma but rule of coincidence. Rule of- Oh god, what a dumbass! This is even better than people randomly buying it up!

Wait a minute... it just hit me, but the school trip... is it a beach trip? Or some... Kyoto trip.
Guy leaves for no reason. That's what strange women do.

Ha! His perverted friend, and those three gals, including the one who says the same thing but instead says something different for a change. If Shido ran past her, she would say "Gross..." like some garden troll.

IS THAT A SWORD THRONE? IT'S A FUCKING SWORD THRONE. A THRONE MADE OUT OF SWORD

I'll let Toka not realizing she was going on the school trip with Shido slide considering her train of thought for the entire episode.

50 quid on Shido.

Can he jump the energy scythes?

High fives all around! Shido solved the problem with a kiss. Good job team!

Plots! Last minute intrigue and dark evil guys plotting! How delightful!

Simply put, Ellen is a fox.

Shit, that shadow that led up to Time Girl, there was not enough thrusting or fist pumping in that much time to when the credits rolled. That bit was far better than the evil organization grab. And it almost went meta.

If I were doing jack squat all day and I was at home, I'd be watching cheesy soaps too.

The first episode of Date A Live 2 couldn't touch Infinite Stratos 2 episode 1, but that's totally unfair considering

It was more or less 15 minutes of Charlotte and Laura on a date :megusta:

I enjoyed reading Thrawns story of a post tbh... no seriously if only i had popcorn nothing could of been better ^__^

as for DAL as a series, i never minded it, it wasn't ever great but it was never bad for me either, shouldn't have trouble beating IS down, i mean.... this doesn't have Ichika xD
so was no one concerned for more than 10seconds he was in the women's bathroom? or that he came out the women's bathroom shortly followed by a teen or clearly wants him? no? oh well. I was kind of expecting the "Gross" girl to come past then but she didn't... gross x__x the subs ruined her line so i will look elsewhere for subs next time, you can't ruin the best character on the show D:

anyway back to the women's toilets... i wonder if i can pull that off... hmmm
was she seriously ready to strip the pants and use the toilet? interestingly weird fetish i guess xD

i was enjoying the tv drama though, we should have a OVA just sat with yoshino watching the TV, looked fun and i want to see more!!!
wait... my post didn't have much to do with the episode now did it x_x

Anyway it wasn't terrible, some minor action, yoshino and a tv, the women's bathroom (i have issues it seems), a sword throne, girls and lamp posts, and kurumi on a roof (pointless as it was).
Actually i didn't mind the episode, pretty much like season 1 i guess, which as said, i didn't mind so yeah for me at least not too bad.

Kurumi on a roof (pointless as it was).

Making her look yandere and cool was worth the screentime~ /thecreators

- Most popular girl
- Bestest Gothic
- Gonna kill you with love

She'd kill herself for you~
