OK, when I started this episode, the first thing that hit me was "this is pretty unoriginal."
I'd say watch this despite its general genericness, as the
makes for an original plot twist and potential good humor.

OK, when I started this episode, the first thing that hit me was "this is pretty unoriginal."
At first the episode startes off with the usual guy comes to new place filled with girls with varying levels of cuteness, not unlike Tenchi Muyo! or other such anime. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just generic. Oh, and the innkeeper (the female lead) has a crush on the male lead. (They met sometime in their childhood)
However, they saved the best for last. What got me hooked on this series was the innkeeper's "illness." It turns out she can't take much of a shock, and when she does.......well, think Female Ranma. For those who haven't seen Ranma 1/2 (shame on you =p ), the innkeeper turns into a rude, loud-mouthed super tomboy (she's normally a sweet, quiet, and polite girl) whenever she takes too much of a shock, in this case, tripping and falling on the male lead. This is the first anime where I've seen a split-personality thing going on. The closest I've seen of this was when Ranma got amnesia while in girl form and thought he was really a girl.
