After watching episode 08 and 09 a minute ago, I am kinda starting to doubt this series can still be called ecchi.

Episode 08: Was some sort of recap episode.... but all women were naked to the flesh. And this for a while 20 minutes. In the end they started to drink milk when the guys obviously "came", giving me more an image of some softcore/censored hentai.

Episode 09: This episodde was dedicated to a speciall halloween-ish event and started of pretty well.

Until the bear and the monkeys came. I am sorry, but that was the thing that made me post this thread. Beastiality is something not ecchi, but hentai imo. Even if it IS censored.

What are your thoughts about this?

green green is walking a fine line between hentai and ecchi =) but i think that in order for it to be qualified as hentai they have to show sex as well.

Have you seen Shin/New Angel?

THe version I've seen was mostly censored. And still it's a 100% hentai.
 
What is new angel never heard of it and I cant find info on animenfo.com
OR shin (which has like 14 or so diff animes named after it.)
 
What do you think ecchi (Japanese for "H") stands for?

My echhi definition is that of animenfo:

"Ecchi anime contains very light sexual themes, such as sexual comedy, transvestites, lecherous grandparents, the occasional bare breast, but never any actual sex. Lots of nosebleeds and potty humor"
 
I personally think Green Green crossed that line. Since that bear in ep 9 was obiously having actual sex....
 
Eh if green green isnt ecchi what is it? Hentai? Green Green has nothing that movies like american pie dont have and not many people consider that movie porno ;0
 
hehe indeed. plus comon whats wrong with hentai. i tell you what. NO plot =) green has some plot and is hilarious =p
 
I thuink green green has walked into a gray area all of it's own.
hentai to me is ... well, Shin Angel is a good example, nudity, sex, uncensored (the ones I saw anyway), oh.. and by sex, I do mean you *see* the person(s) having sex.

Green Green is... - while you haven't implicitly been shown or told that two people have been having sex... there is the incident with the bear, and the monkeys... and the big-moron (who had the unfortunate, but deserved incident with the bear) and the girl with glasses had a thing going in her dorm room during the raid too, it looked like... and the milk.. and the crevices.. and the male three-way.. and the.. and the... *shudder*

I find it somewhat bad taste. :P
but I still like the underlying story of midori and Yuusuke.


oh, and I'll second that ecchi referrs to H, which is short for Hentai.
 
Mm i agree with reckless on all matters.

I do like the underlying story going on. There are thigns revelaed about Midori every now and then for isntance.

I also find the char.development of ..what's her name.. (the blue haired chick getting interrested in Yuusuke). While I know that some people would say that her character is very cliché I have to say that she's got a more normal bust size atleast and she's my GG fave, so there

ahh focoruse there are two of them. I'm talking 'bout the violent one. But hey man, she's got all the right in the world to act violent.
