Default Headed back to Japan (Local Advice Please)

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted on this site, but since my 5th birthday is coming up (anime-planet birthday, obviously....) I figured I'd dust off the old account and start chating again. Headed back to Japan in a few months (went there last year for 6 weeks, traveled from Nagasaki to Sapporo, saw the F1 Grand Prix, Hiroshima Memorial, and much more) and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for the Sakura Blossom Viewings?

Best time to go?

Best area to view?

Any other tips?

Any advice would be welcomed.

Anyways, that's all for now. Glad to be back

Not a bad plan, but this just as likely to lead me to a random izakaya, some college/university party, or after-work business gathering. That said, this wouldn't be a bad plan for exploring and meeting new people.

The time the cherry trees blossom varies depending on where you are, the variety of tree, and what the weather is like. The plums blossom first, then the cherry trees follow in march to april for Tokyo usually. Ueno park is especially beautiful in the spring, and lots to do there besides. I never went to an actually hanami, but it sounds like a good time.

Go to Okinawa. I lived there for 4 years. The people there are somewhat annoying, but its got some of the BEST sight seeing in the entire country. Its absolutely beautiful. Its an island paradise. Tropical climate year round. Just avoid typhoon season, because when Okinawa gets typhoons.............they get fucking typhoons.

The apples flower first, then the cherry plants adhere to in goal to apr for Seattle usually. Ueno recreation area is especially wonderful in the springtime, and lots to do there besides.
