Sparrow's Hotel

I can't deny it looked like it was going to be bad from the get go, but this show's entertaining value is on par with Funny Pets
 
I actually find myself smiling sometimes, but the animation wipes it off every time and gives my bowels an urge to throw down.
 
This looks like a bad american copy of an anime.
Like Winx mixed with a cheep porn site.

I keep expecting a Sailor moon epic orgy in the hotel lobby.

Are they actually trying to make a story here? They might only have 3 minutes, and 40 seconds of that is the intro, but someone, and I mean at least someone is going to run into the girls boobs.

Woah, did the animation changed? Not that it improved tremendously but it's......... something.

It both looks and sounds like an early 90's show, and the comedy hit the wrong notes most of the time. Definitely a 2/10 must watch.

These were my exact thoughts when I spontaneously watched the first couple minutes...and then dropped it. I didn't bother to finish it. I looked it up on Anime-Planet to make sure it wasn't something made in the 20th century. Could have fooled me - no, wait, it DID. Even if this anime's intention wasn't to troll, it got me.

Doesn't look like I'm missing out on anything, if a lack of discussion in this thread is any indication.
 
Episode 7

They didn't change the animation, they did a complete fucking overhaul while adding in a slight tinge of crap. And Billy the XO, fucking badass as fucks. He just kicked the shit out of all the other episodes to become "Best episode of Sparrow's Hotel".
 
What the blin is with the animation? Was it made in 1990 or somethi- *checks year of 2013*
I-Is this meant to be a parody of the 90's? It sure does feel like it. Almost like the devs said "can we cram every stereotype into one anime? Is this humanly possible?"

Very J-pan like humour, too. I weirdly enjoyed this, partially due to teh animashunz
 
Was pretty jarring to see the animation flip after episode 6. It felt more true to the year it was released but I wonder why it changed. I feel like the show also switched from quick gags every couple of seconds to actual stories in the 3 minute runtime.
