Makoto did deserve it i guess from all those things he did what was also diturbing was epidoe 12 and when
Katsuki i think her name was started going insane and shit.. but what really freaked me out was when she was hugging his head on the boat.. -_-:drinking:

School Days is one of the worst animes I've ever seen.

It so blatantly glorifies misogyny that I couldn't stand watching it past the first 6 episodes. Even 6 episodes was stretching it for me, I had originally thought it was only going to last that long so I watched up to that for the sole purpose of finishing the series and getting it over with. But, I just couldn't stomach it. :/

I watched it because I knew about the 'bad endings' and wanted to see if the studio had the gall to go with one, but they went further than I expected.
I'd like to see the un-edited DVD version when it's released, since all the previous murder controversy led to a lot of censorship of this episode.

Regardless, they did a good job of making me HATE Makoto, and since I was always rooting for Sekai, I was actually very upset when he started being a jerk. I'm glad he got his just ends, but I didn't like the very end of the final episode, probably because I liked Sekai a lot and I didn't think anyone came out on top of the situation.

Well, my hubby and I finished watching the anime a couple of days ago.
I was so scared, and I could not sleep for a few days.
Plus, I have a hard time watching anime nowdays.

Yeah the ending was very UN-XSPECTEDly horrifying?i would have never guessed that would happen

I've also seen it, and yes.. quite disturbing. But like the rest of you, I agree he had it coming. Midway through the main character really started ticking me off.
I think I would have been much more disappointed if they hadn't had killed him.

The anime wasn't exactly the greatest, but it certainly spurred emotions which most anime tend to avoid. Not sure if thats a good thing or not, but it was a job well done.

yeah I was kind of disturbed about the ending but through out the whole series I was like on the edge of my seat wanting to see the next step..

Some little boy in me however wanted see alittle bit more action (WINK WINK)
but it only raises the curiosity.

I'm in the midst of starting this one up again (after being bored and stopping in 10 min) mainly because that ending intrigued me. I'm always willing to give non-traditional harems (boy are those RARE) a go. So far, the girls are . . . kinda interesting. Kotonoha follows a little too strongly in the shy meek girl stereotype that shows up in almost any anime regardless of it being harem or not. Sekai's kinda interesting. Mainly, it's nice to see potential animosity for once between girls instead of the usual crying and whining over the guy.

. . . now, Makoto. This is about the most blatant example of a complete and utter loser who doesn't even deserve a porn mag to jerk off of I've ever seen. I mean, even the loser otakus who play these games aren't THAT completely out of sync that they would do these things to girls are they? I mean, if I were this guy's friend, I'd smack him over the top of the head a few hundred times. If I were Sekai, I'd kick him in the balls and then find a love doll (can't be worse than Makoto).

Anyways, I'm still watching. The girls are carrying this 'bishoujo' show for me while the male is trying to deep six it. That's pretty rare for me that I like any of the girls in this genre since they tend to fall in very distinct and overused stereotypes (see Kanon and Clannad for a lovely display of these stereotypes).

As for the disturbing endings, the game's quite known for them. I know people who play to get the 'bad' endings cuz they're bloodthirsty. And after seeing Makoto in the anime, I'd love to kill him too.

The spoilers and other info in this post made me stop watching... maybe a good thing, maybe a bad thing... but stopped watching now I know.

i thought school days was interesting at first but makoto just annoyed me to no en...he deserved what happened in the end

after watching the 3rd or 4th episode, i'd have loved to see makoto killed and my wish was granted

i agree that the anime was a bit disturbing but it was effective in a way that it appealed to so much emotions...but...i'm still annoyed about it

So far my thoughts are that I wish I had those couple of hours of my life back. I just couldn't get myself to like this show in any way.

Okay, now, after seeing this, I don't think it should've ended that way. If anything
Sekai should've taken her sweet time to really kill off Makoto. I mean, I already don't like loser harem males, but this guy takes the cake for worthlessness. IMO, that bastard got off light.

On the spoiler's note, I don't quite understand why anime/manga/game fandom loves such utterly pathetic examples of males (can't call someone that pathetic a man). I mean, I understand that they aren't supposed to be perfect specimens so the main audience (which is, let's face it, loser NEETs and otakus) can relate, but really. I'd be so ashamed of myself if I can say I can relate to that piece of crap known as Makoto. I'd kill myself to spare the rest of the world.

School Days - Ending
I don't know how others can take anime of this kind, but I'm really depressed... I think the last time I felt like this was with Saikano and Seikai No Senki II...
I feel that Makoto got what he deserved - when I see someone like him VanDread comes to mind: It makes me sick to think that a guy like you is a men like me. - and even tough some might not share my opinion, but who I felt sorry for the most was Sekai she was my favorite character for the very moment I laid my eyes on her... altough there were times when I felt sorry for Kotonoha I had hoped til the very end that Sekai will be happy, but when she went into the kitchen... I just knew what was coming.... it felt bad.... really bad to see Sekai become like that...:crying:



I'd like to get your advice about what to whatch next...
I watched Myself;Youself and heard that then I should watch School Days...
How fool I was... I should have read more about it... when I watch an anime like this I must have a romantic/comedy at hand to watch right afterwards... otherwise I remain depressed for a really lone time...
So if I could get your advice on what to watch... after watching School Days... something to lift my spirit...:crying:
The problem is that I've seen lots of animes ( my profile is not finished, I just added the ones that I remember most )

I' could simply browse trough the huge database, but then again I don't want to make the same mistake again... not knowing wether the ending will be to my liking...
I did take a look at the database and I'm thinking about watching Shuffle, but don't really know... at times like these I'm afraid of starting to watch any anime... and since it 24 eps long I wouldn't want to start watching if I didn't know the ending ( not exactly what happes, but wether I'd be crying or not )... since if it's good then after I started watching it I won't leave it alone even if it's just making things worse...

So if I could ask you to try to help me find an anime that's befitting to watch after School Days then please tell me about it... thanks in advance:-))

I just finished School Days last night. All I can say is...woah.

It was hard to fall asleep after watching this one. I found that re-watching the first few episodes of my all-time favorite anime (it's Peach Girl, if you were wondering) helped take my mind off of it. ^.^

probably one of the best endings i've seen, since i've never disliked a main character more than makoto, ugh. last 10 minutes made the anime worth seeing :) but yeah, a little disturbing, but not that bad

It is against the forums rules to ask for recommendations in the threads.
