Ah yes those stock coolers are loud and cool rather poorly (I've never actually used one :P).

From what I've heard the max cpu temp should be around 40C, and if you're getting over 50-55C you...

There's too many factors (cooler, cpu, case, OC etc) in temps to give a baseline, are you experiencing issues you think may be heat related?

For those that held out and didn't get a 1156/1366 SB is very nice except for the cost. I would have liked to see the 2600k closer to 200 than 300.

Sounds reasonable, all personal preference really. All I really know is that every owner of a corsair/coolit system I've spoken to (until now) ditched the stock fan.

2k rpm is fairly high and...

Stock coolers pretty much always suck in both performance and noise so that's no surprise, although I've heard the AMD one's aren't as bad as intels lol.

The coolit and corsair liquid cooling...

btw your cpu is a quad-core processor and thus has 4 cores while still...
