Re: Spice and Wolf II

Hehehe. I always just considered them using oiran for her because it is exotic and harkens back to "old times." Her attitude is a way to keep her still within a harem girl's mold despite the unique...

Re: Spice and Wolf II

If you're ever confused by Horo, just remember that she is a whore. Literally. The way she speaks is just like an oiran. That'll let you bypass a lot of her . . . Horo-ness. ;p

Re: Spice and Wolf II

*momo shakes head*

He's aware epics don't tell you the time they occur in within a few centuries too right? I hope you don't find yourself arguing with him when the Iliad or such is set.

Re: Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Maybe they decided to cut out the really long epic last battle. That felt longer than that scene. And there's at least 4-5 episodes worth of REALLY important revelations to work with left if that...

If he didn't complain "Hey wait!! This is SO inaccurate!! There weren't hundreds years old wolf gods who turn into teenage girls with a tail and furry ears who loves apples and talks like a whore...

Re: Spice and Wolf II

The friend is right because the setting in Spicy Wolf is well before potatoes, back around the 1000s around the "dark ages" when the Church was acting about the same as in Spicy Wolf. Potatoes...

Re: Can't Decide What to Watch Next? Post Here!

Hmm, so I need another show to take the bad taste of Blood+ out of my mouth (telling that while I said I would finish it I have finished four or so shows while watching some 5 episodes of Blood+). ...

Re: Kara no Kyoukai - The Garden of Sinners

Well, and Satsujin Kousatsu Go is over.

Unlike what some people think, I never actually got around to reading the stories before Fukan Fuukei came out and decided to hold off reading it in the...

Re: Seirei no Moribito

So . . . this show was a roller coaster, and not in a good way.

Good
- The title screens
- MENORI's BACK!!! (see below)
- Jigoru
- Amazing landscape art
- Otogizoushi art
- One of the...

Re: Natsu no Arashi! Akinai-chuu

Why am I not surprised this is what danny boy gets from the episode? . . . ;p

I'm a bit disappointed Arashi and Kaya didn't get more play out of Jun in this episode, though I guess everyone got at...

Re: Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

It's not that bad, though that might be just because I'm used to the . . . "Nitroplus-ness" of Nitroplus titles. It's a pretty solid story and the anime did reasonably well telling it...

Re: Seirei no Moribito

Well, so far I can say this has one of the most impressive soundtracks in anime. Unlike most shows that have good soundtracks, this one's tracks really are made for the scenes where they debut. ...

Re: Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

Given you've already put a gigantic picture in the thread that takes up way too much space and is incredibly intrusive (and annoying to those who have slow connections), I guess spoiling the story...

Re: Seirei no Moribito

I would rather a show start off slow and build up than start off good and end on a whimper. *momo kicks Otogizoushi's Tokyo arc*

Re: Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

Though I am fine with spoilers myself, most people do not care to see such big spoilers as the such you put up out in the open in the middle of discussions while they are watching the show. Most...

Re: Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

Good job at putting spoilers out in the open for everyone to see and for putting a post that . . . honestly, I don't know why it was put up.

Re: Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

You should be glad that the anime wrote out Ein's past and most of Scythe's and Ein's . . . "interactions" for something more acceptable in anime (especially Hong Kong). The worst you see in the...

Re: Seirei no Moribito

So off the bat Balsa caught my attention. First is she's not dressed like a stripper. That's a big plus given there's a law in Japan that any woman who fights must be dressed like a stripper and...

Re: Kampfer

Eh, the last part of the episode isn't the worst. CG had a similar kind of crap that changed the show from just mediocre to unbearable crap. That said, I didn't like most of the episode. Given its...

Re: Your intro to the Touhou universe

Hope you've seen the first two cuz watching 72 episodes of mostly episodic content can be a chore. Though the ending of the first series can draw parallels to Yuyu as well.

I don't know what's...
