Re: C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control

OK, my thoughts on eps 1-2:

I wish I hadn't read Vivi's post before I made this one. Now, instead of appearing like I independently came up with the same impressions, I have to AGREE with her,...

Re: What I just finished watching and what I thought about it 2 (USE SPOILER TAGS)

Spice&Wolf II:

I don't remember, but did the original have so much fucking reused footage? It seems like every other conversation cuts to the naked cart scene, which after a while gets super old....

Re: Jungle Wa itsumo Hale nochi Guu

OMG THE DRAMA.

KiraRin: I'd actually recommend cutting the first paragraph for reasons unrelated to Funkgun's mildly hilarious overreaction. Most readers aren't going to care at all about your...

Re: Kaleido Star

There isn't any hard and fast rule that a review has to be in one tense,

BUT (there's always a but)

most of the time your work reads a ton better if you stick to one tense. For instance, the...

Re: Naruto

In general: the last review from you that I gave feedback on Howl's Moving Castle, and this represents such a huge step above that that I'm both impressed and a little mystified. Overall a good job...

Re: Utawarerumono

Small request: could you not copy paste your review into a quote? When you try to quote a quote nothing happens, and I'm laaaaaaazy.

Re: Aoi Hana

Nothing adds to the ambiance like live music, good conversation, and a little HIV.

Re: K-On!

It's an insult. :P

However, in my opinion the recycled plot and characters weren't annoying enough to prevent me from liking it. K-On wasn't my favorite show in the world, but was still an...

Re: K-On!

True, but there is definitely a matter of degrees here. Some anime are only somewhat derivative, whereas K-On is one step above a complete copy-paste.

Re: Nodame Cantabile: Paris

The review actually looks pretty great now; I only noticed minor stuff. You've got a good sense of humor and work it well into the review.

Re: Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi

Cuts in underline.

In general: the flaws of this show read like they're pretty damning, and by the end I didn't feel like you had quite convinced me that the show was worthwhile in spite of...

Re: Nodame Cantabile: Paris

Before I can Vivisect this one, you're going to need to fix your tenses. You switch tenses almost constantly, and it hurts your flow considerably. I realize it's sort of annoying to use present tense...

Re: What I just finished watching and what I thought about it 2 (USE SPOILER TAGS)

Toradora!

Despite a super conventional plot and an ending that goes on at least one episode too long, this is a great show. Like many of my favorite series Toradora, successfully transitions from...

Also, I am too.

Re: What I just finished watching and what I thought about it 2 (USE SPOILER TAGS)

@Eleison: I dropped the first series around episode 8. Would you recommend that I watch the OVA anyway, or is there too much series-specific stuff that I'd have to know to enjoy it?

Re: Paniponi Dash!

I go both ways.

On one hand you're really not responsible for writing about other people's opinions - only your own.

On the other hand factoring in hype can add a sense of perspective to your...

Re: Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

To be honest I feel a bit limited by having not seen the dub, which really truly might be better. My guess is that Liam Neeson does a lot more with the Wizard character than the Japanese seiyuu did....
