Re: Tokyo Mew Mew.. what is lettuce?

Though I only ever bought the two first volumes of the manga, I think those two were a bird and some sort of fish/sea mammal. Can't remember which was which.

Re: Should "saved" be changed to "to watch"? Also, stalled?

How about just 'marked' or 'tagged' or something? I get the impression that the 'saved' label is more for personal use, rather than anything you want to communicate to other people browsing the DB,...

Re: Death Note

I think the scene was added purely for the benefit of the shounen ai crowd, but they did manage to do it in such a way that it didn't break the friend/nemesis dichotomy of the two. I didn't really...

Re: Death Note

I think it's good it ended when it did - I was starting to lose interest, really.

The latter half of the series with Near just didn't seem as interesting as when Light was up against L. Might...

Re: Death Note

I think Near is actually more concerned with just winning rather than who he's working with. In that respect, he and Mello might be rather alike.

But then, when raised in an orphanage where...

Re: Death Note

As Vivi pointed out earlier in the thread, I wasn't at all happy with L being usurped by some other kid genius. He's starting to flesh out his own role now, though - I thought it was great how he had...

Re: Death Note

I'm usually averse to posting simple "quoted for truth" posts, but... Yeah.

Re: I wonder.....about the reliablity?

The procedure I've been following is that I simply write up a description of the show with 590 characters including spaces as a general target length. Then I take screenshots of varying aspects from...

Re: Strawberry Panic!

You know, normally when someone posts something this, it would stand quite well on its own and need no further comment, but it seems the writers themselves never quite manage to realise why that is....

Re: Hellsing OVA

Having seen the original TV series first, then read some of the manga, then seen the now 2 OVA episodes that are out, I must say that the story feels rushed. However, that is exactly how it is in the...

Re: Gakuen Heaven

After watching episode 4, I take that back. I suppose it's not surprising, given that the anime is based on a BL game, but the story has indeed devolved into excuses to show cutesy shounen ai...

Re: Gakuen Heaven

Hum, I didn't find the (spoiler) in the episode I saw... Was it a parody-sub by any chance? Kinda sounds like it from your description. O_o

But other than that, I thought it was quite good....
