So Dave convinced me that I should start giving these prizes away more readily, so I'm going to start something he had in mind.

Starting right now (the next few days will count as part of May), I'll be holding a monthly contest to win a class 3 prize, most of which are DVDs. So here's the rules:

Anyone can enter. But, you'll only get 1/2 a point towards winning if you submit nothing. So if 3 other people enter without submitting anything, you'll still have a 1 in 3 chance of winning (the drawing will be random no matter what).

On the other hand, if you choose to help add series to the database, you'll have a greater chance of winning. For each series you submit (that I end up using), you'll get another entry into the drawing. Obviously, if you submit a bunch of stuff, your chance of winning will be really high, so it's up to you to submit as much as possible!

So, the point system is sort of like the last contest. Full entry: 1 point (this includes completely replacing an entry that's already up, if it sucks). Partial points will be awarded for new screenshots/main image (.5 for BOTH), or new description (.5). I might, in the future, put up a "most wanted list" to get extra points again, but I'm not sure yet. Like with the last contest, you can replace other people's stuff to steal points, though I'm not sure if I'll be posting an updated list with who submitted what till the results are drawn (due to a total lack of time).

What do I want people to submit? ANYTHING THAT ISN'T UP, as long as you've seen it. Please read this thread for instructions on how to help me add the series. Seriously guys, please read this... it takes a lot of my time to edit descriptions or try to coach you through writing them, when you could read that and get lots of nice examples. :) Please remember to take MORE than 7 screenshots too, and at least one scenery.

Can't think of much else to say except that. Please keep in mind that my time is very limited, so it might take awhile for me to put your entries up. Also keep in mind it might be slow getting your prize to you too depending on my schedule :/. Have pity, I'm only one person! ^_^; So get started! You have a month :)

also: i already have guu final and mahoraba, so don't submit those. it's always a good idea to ASK ME about which series you plan on takng care of, since some i might not want to replace, or some i might already have and haven't put up.

i'll post a point total sometime soon for instant posters and dvds, so anyone who gets 10 points, as an example, would get a dvd, regardless of the monthly drawing. these points will accumulate forever, so eventually you can get a dvd or poster if you submit :)

this is depressing... i'm offering a free dvd per month and people STILL aren't interested at all?

even though you don't even have to submit anything to win it??

this contains any series that i think of that need to be added. obviously it's not a complete list, but i'll also remove things once they are added.

if you have a series you'd want up that isn't, please let me know and i'll add it to the "specifically requested" list. my hopes is that people see those and do them first :)

anyways, maybe this will help you come up with entries for the contest, right now it's just entries on suki that aren't up here yet.. maaany more to come.

as i mentioned before i still haven't had time to add stuff, but i have those series listed below. i have my phone screen for the new job on tuesday so i'll be studying nonstop all weekend (and get the new cat tomorrow), but i'll try to get a few of these up in the meantime :)

this contest runs through the end of may so if you are busy and can't submit stuff, you still have time! just remember that the faster you get me stuff, the more chance you have of your entry being used ;) (since some people might not submit things if one is already up, who knows?)
