i've just spent the last 24 hours doing some major (and much needed) modifications to the reviews sections. i apologize for the downtime with broken links and such, here's what's been fixed:
1. the alphabetical list in the forum reviews section is 100% up to date. i've deleted quite a few older reviews that either were filled with random garbage, or were first impressions that are long since gone. 2. all threads (with the exception of a few i don't know what to do with) have the custom header now. from now on, all threads will have this. you don't have to put it in yourself, but if you make a new thread, itll go before your post :) 3. all site reviews that don't have a forum thread, now have one. this is why you see a ton of series threads that have no posts. i know this is messy, but i want a place where people in site reviews can go to post their own review... hence there needs to be a thread that exists already. a thread wont be posted for EVERY SERIES, but if a site review is created, a forum one will as well (if it doesnt exist already). 4. all site <--> forum relations are fixed. some anirec entries pointed to the forum and not the site review, some site reviews didnt link to the forum, etc. all have been updated. the alpha list was updated a second time to add all the site review threads. everything should be just fine now. we just watched our first dvd from adv (they are sending me stuff to review), so i'll be programming a dvd reviews section in the site reviews. i know this is reinventing the wheel, but they do want me to review each dvd, so i need to make a section. dave will be reviewing all the dvd type stuff, and i'll review content (and add a normal site review). we already got two dvds (burn up, which i'll add tonight, and the first 3 eps of e's otherwise), so this new area will prolly be done by tomorrow since i need to get stuff up. anyways, i think that's all for now. |

Great job sothis, sorry I couldn't be as much help as I promised.
But I'll be sure to maintain the list daily since it's completed now. It's still cool that ADV asked you to review their DVDs, guess this site finally got recognized by an anime company for once :) Keep up the good work!

yeah, quite frankly, i could care less about reviewing dvds, so i'm glad dave has agreed to do them. i personally feel like it'll make us look like we are copying other sites that do it better, but hey, if it means free anime, might as well ;) we just completed "burn up", now in the database, though the dvd review isnt added yet. |

Oh yes, I must apologize like Ultima did, for I was even less help than he. I think I make a better reviewer than a review nazi anyway.
