Codecs...

Bah, I hate this subject. I always have problems with it. Ok, first there are tons of them, but there's nothing to do about that. Then people make packs with a bunch of them. BUT no one has them all. I always seem to be missing something. So you install some packs and some individual until you get whatever to work. Right now I've been trying to get FMP 03 to have sound. I just CANT do it. It says it's some MPEG 3 codec, which tells me nothing. And during this time I start trying new codecs, which was a bad idea since now Berserk 16 won't work. At this moment I have every codec installed. Someone I know is watching Berserk down the hall and they have all their codecs from me yet they CAN play Berserk 16 and I can't even with all of my codecs installed. Basically I figure that having multiple packs installed is messing up SOMETHING in my computer.

Now...I put this in site suggestions because I looked in the FAQ and there wasn't anything on codecs and I figured I'd come here to ask if anyone could make some guide to installing pretty much all of the codecs in the simplest manner possible.

(also, Berserk I figure I can get to work eventually since my friends works. He can't get FMP 03's sound to work either. It's done by AI-Fansubs and HQA. If anyone can tell me what to do with that file or any other file that has video but no sound please post a reply.)
