Site updates
 

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know where things are at. I know there hasn't been an update since almost a month ago, but I've been diligently coding almost every day since the last update. There are a lot of things which are almost complete, but not quite.
Today I unveiled a few new things in the reviews page:

• There is now a side panel for recently added reviews. This panel will only show up on a review-related page. The most recent 3 days worth of reviews show up in this panel; thus, even if you are looking at an individual review page, you'll still have easy access to any newly added anime and DVD reviews.
• Another mascot incarnation has been added to the reviews page; in this case, the little creature now hangs over the alphabetical list/search panel.
• A somewhat minor change, but now above the alpha/search panel is a stylized catch phrase. It's kind of cheesy, but I can't think of a better idea. Have one? Let me know!

In the near future, I'll be adding: search functionality for reviews, anime/dvd review filters (this part is actually done, but I have to get the search part 100% finished first before launching both); the users page (almost done), new intro text and mascot design for the reviews index page.

just remember that this site runs by the graces of sothis-sama and that she can smite you into oblivion at any time ^^_.

otherwise what you have done with the site so far is really awesome compared to what the site used to be years ago and the state it was in. the site has come a long way and despite what some people have said they have been awesome changes and you deserve this gold star i'm giving you :-p.

oh yeah, is it possible to add a link at the bottom of the forum pages that will take you to the top of the page. this would really help when you have the number of posts per page turn up and the pages get really long.

sorry that the forum is broken again guys, im fed up with shit being broken and am now waiting on vbulletin to answer a trouble ticket.

I'm sorry that the style thingy is broken, but the forum is definitely more usable now. if you don't have time to fix this style thingy for the board, just let it be for now. I think people who actually use and read this forum wouldn't complain at all . usability > style ;).

I see you diverted to using User Frame at the left side again... was it a design decision or result of templates being messed up? I'm not complaining, just curious. :-)

if by "more usable" you mean "too wide to fit in the frame," then yes, the forum is now more usable. And if we're assigning new meanings for words, I think the forum is now definitely more green and silent. By "green" I mean "unreadable" and "silent" is "pain-in-the-ass to navigate."

cythraul, when its fixed it actually fits inside the entire design. please have patience,i 'm working my ass off here. as it is right now, everything is reverted back to NOT being in the theme and not working.

*sigh*

please trust me on this one.

im now locking this thread so people hopefully read this post and realize THINGS ARE NOT FIXED RIGHT NOW.
