When?
May 20-23

Why?
Haven't you ever needed a manly man in your life? Well over these 4 days you can fill as much of your life with manly men as you can! There be some lovely GAR ladies too of course! And hey, if GAR isn't your thing there's always someone in a mecha fighting for whatever to make anyone happy.

Recommendations: Please add Recommendations for these series once you've watched them! Every single recommendation made helps out the thousands of people who use the database each month to find new stuff to watch. Everyone who participates in this Monthly Marathon should add recommendations for other series they think a person would like, if they can think of any.

User Reviews: User reviews don't have to be many paragraphs, or even have good English. They can be as little as a single paragraph just to explain what you thought of the series and any extra tips for the reader. The longer and more detailed the better, of course.

Character Submissions: Things are a little strict for this as it has to be well done. See thread HERE for more information on how to add a character to Anime-Planet.

How?
Just choose a series from the list, movie or OVA and watch it! Post how many episodes you watched if you didn't complete or started off at a certain episode. Counting will go as follows:

1 Episode = 1 point
1 OVA = 2 points
1 Movie = 3 points
Accepted Character Submission = 1 point
rec / user review = .5 points
Bonus 5 points if you completely finish a series

Prizes for doing a Monthly Marathon:

1. One lucky person with the most Points will get a banner to parade around Anime-Planet for the whole month!

lol, Manly/Mecha May-Hem this sounds exactly like what I'm trying to counter in my thread But I've never done one of these marathon things due to school so we'll give it a shot

sign me up for Toriko, its the only series I have not seen on that list

Wow I have seen almost everything there.
LOL "Manly" mecha, and then you have Izcer One which is piloted exclusively by women. In fact there are hardly any men in that show at all. I know it is mecha, but if your going for a theme, and I see you picked some beefy Mecha, I would replace that with Gao Gai Gar. Gunbuster gets a pass, due to the manly Coach.

Everything else on that list is perfect. Even the Macross 7 title. Not my all time Macross fave, but if there was a gar in Macross it would be Basara.

I wanted to have some GAR women in the mix too and the chicks from Izcer and Gunbuster are a great pick.

- King of Braves GaoGaiGar (About as manly as series ever gets. Even the robots are hot blooded) (49 episodes)
- Martian Successor Nadesico (I realize the Topic Creator has it on her most hated...but...oh, just watch it) (26 episodes)
- Getter Robo (No mecha series is complete without the original bats*** insane pilots) (51 episodes)
- Mazinger Z (Why isn't the original on there?) (92 episodes)
- Shinkon Gattai Godannar (Great series if you're already a Super Robot fan. It's a less obvious parody of the style [at least, compared to TTGL]) (26 episodes)
- Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars (Honestly a sleeper series for mechs) (26 episodes)

Gunbuster, yes.
As for Iczer1. Title character is, but Nagisa is a whiny little (naked) co pilot and Iczer one needs her... wait, what makes me think that right there might get people to watch. =O

And as for Macross world, The most Gar is Roy Fokker, then Isamu then Kajimin followed by Maximillian(in 7 as well) then maybe your Gamlin ;). But I might still argue Basara. I mean the dude can fly a mecha with a friggin guitar!

there's a lot on the list already i might add GaoGaiGar but that's it

Mazinger Z you can watch as if you read the directions it does say *All relations are also valid for points.*

This isn't a debate the list thread. The club thread is for this banter and hardly anyone posts in there when I ask for suggestions
