熊くそ (くまくそ)

Side note: I had to make my surname into kanji for an official form the other day. It's Beverley, which I changed into Bear Valley (くまがい) - actually a pretty popular name in the country. I'm almost certainly more Japanese now.

I'll go with his second to last mora then,

もぐら

It seems like there should be more rules, like sticking within themes, or something.

Will Ferguson has to do this in his excellent book 'Hokkaido Highway Blues', he writes that his school wouldn't allow him to be Fugu-san.

Speaking of konnyaku, I just flicked through the latest episode of the variety show 'Sekai no Hate Made itteQ' - they go to India and make a trampoline out of a giant block of konnyaku. Twas funny.

らんぼう

It always made me laugh that the Japanese word for violence sounds like "Rambo".
