That's weird. I installed mine when I reformated my computer a couple months ago, and didn't need the Windows disc to do it.

I just installed Photoshop and suddenly Japanese characters started to display properly. Before that all I could see were vertical bars.

It asks for the disc 2 from the Service Pack 2. and of course i don't have it.

wow, i was lucky. my local computer store (not a chain store) let me use their disc to install the pack, for free! i gave them 10$ though cause they rock.

since photoshop is universal you may have gotten some basic fonts and extra characters you wouldnt normally get.
