General Election in Japan
The Japanese have voted the LDP back into power after just 3 years in opposition. The LDP have been the dominant party since post-WWII basically. I would have thought if anything could have stimulated some change there, it would be the events of the past 3 years. Instead the Japanese have been shocked into returning to the familiar LDP government. Looks like they will do more of the same economically and escalate the Senkaku islands dispute. It's hard to imagine the politics changing any time soon.
