for people who have used once or more the JR Pass for the Bullet Train what's it like in both class's.
What do I get with normal class ( what perks I get ) vs 1st class ( more or better perks ) Normal cost like $350 and 1st Class cost like $485 I want to know if it's worth paying over $100 for first class or not and just stick with normal class |

Plus, with the regular pass, you may not get a seat so you may have to stand at times.

I suppose that's a consideration depending on when and where you're going. I don't think I've ever had to stand on the shinkansen, only on regular express (which was a long enough trip to be comparable, but perfectly fine in any case).
So if it's likely to be very busy and you're feeble, or if you are particularly old/vain/silly, then and only then, should you consider spending the extra money. |
