It's the perfect reason. The clues in the title...Zombie Thread. Now I don't know about you, but zombies terrify me and should, under no circumstances be dug up.

That and the fact that this thread reminds me that the Internet has been around for at least 5 years, which means I've wasted at least 5 years of my life.

Thanks - I do not recall where I originally picked up that signature line, but I think it might have been from a very old issue of Readers Digest or something like that. It is at least a classic that still today tickles my funny bone. Then again, I am very ticklish - so that may explain a lot.

And to Termias warning about ISSUP - the word has already been spread, and rumours tells that the ISSUP thread is already bigger than Miakas famous "nothing and everything" thread.

Regarding being sucked into the deep, black bowels of anime hell; I've always been fond of japanese cartoons - but I think I got hooked way too long ago. My challenge these days are having enough time. And I have a lot of catching up to do - I haven't checked out any new animes for the last couple of years - I have only read up on them. But perhaps I'll get some more time this autumn and christmas?

And ForgottenSon - I noticed you picked the drummer from Nana (or to be more precise - the band "Back Pearls") as you avatar. Are there any deeper meanings behind that choice, or did you just like his look?

Regarding zombies; I think of them the same way as I do with pigs wearing lipstick: they just wants to be loved. Deep down in those rotten carcasses I am pretty certain they just want to be respected as what they are: undead spawns of Satan!

But enough with the smalltalk - yes, rumours have it that the net in its current form (HTML1.0 modelled on top of IP-based networking) has been around for close to 20 years - which I find a bit odd since it is not more than 15 years ago since Al Gore claimed having invented Internet. But hey, let us not dwell on the past and instead head straight for a brighter future ... where they have implemented IPv6 on a global scale.

And that was the nerd in me talking.

And finally Worosei - nah, I am not really all that fond of black metal. Yes, I do of course listen to sell out bands like Dimmur Borgir and their likes, but I mainly prefer viking metal and symphonic/power metal - at least within the metal genre.

And horror of all horrors - I have never been any fan of Metallica. Nor of Sepultura. Nor Anthrax really. Heh heh - and I have one more horror for you: I do actually like one of Nickelbacks songs. Check out "Animals". Its a good old fashioned party tune.

But if you want to listen to some fun metal - check out stuff from bands like Finntroll and Ensiferum. They play the kind of music that can bring a smile to even the most hardened Hells Angels dropout.
