I'm a 55 year old military veteran joined right out of high school in 1972 spent some years in various foreign countries lost some good friends and killed some people i did not even know. did a bunch of blue collar work after i got out in 1977 wound up working for the phone company as a maintenance splicer did that for 15 years went up a pole one day (saint patrick's day to be precise) and woke up after being unconscious for 8 day to discover i had fallen off and broke my back in 4 places also several other bones in various places had blood clots and was not expected to survive but obviously i did but it took a year to relearn how to walk and talk right. got over that and moved to Oregon where i now live and well i just live here now... i hope i can contribute something to this forum but i really like to read the posts even the old ones it's kinda fun posting and seeing what others think of your ideas but you learn more from reading.
oh one other major highlight ( which you youngsters probably won't get ) i saw Janis joplin and Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey pop festival , burn that guitar jimi., can't forget that. about being an old guy : i knew the jig was up the day i heard the rolling stones in an elevator |

enlighten eh? well if i stuck a light bulb i my nose and was struck by lightning that might be the only way. no i can't claim to be all that knowledgeable but i really really like anime, and pc games i can't stop playing but i still find time every day to read 100-200 pages of my fantasy novels. I'm hoping for a modified remake : serial experiments Onota Izumi , my idea of an Internet god.

Welcome to the forums. You seem like a really interesting person, I must say.
My mother saw Pink Floyd when she was at University. The annoying part is that she doesn't even like them. |

yeah i know it's hard when you run into people who get to see or go to places and stuff you'd love and they just say" it was ok but not that good " or some other thing and your like so ..why what's that me not them. i saw a lot of the oldies because i was in central Calif and they had day on the green ecl plus monterey pop. some people don't even remember the old guys hey how about that rock flute player and they go???? Jethro Tull. what?? never mind. so anyway I'm going to hit 4-5 eps of lucky star because konota rules.
