Anime-Planet forum - Incoming Newbie Detected

Hello ladies, gentleman, furries and mechas, I am Martenous. I'm an 18 year old Canadian and I will be soon studying for a degree in Psychology. I got into anime by watching Dragon Ball Z and Inuyasha (later Naruto, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist) on YTV. This later led to me getting into manga with Shonen Jump magazine.

My favorite anime titles would have to be all of Key's works, sola, Utawarerumono and Gurren Lagann. Although as of recently I am more of a manga reader now. For manga, I have Omamori Himari, Black Cat and Negima! as my favourites but as of right now I only have 50 volumes so I don't have much experience (I only started with manga when I started buying graphic novels a few months ago) but that will soon change this month as my collection will soon triple as I have lots of shipments coming my way.

I believe in purchasing my manga and anime so if the internet ever gets shut down, I don't lose my whole life. I also buy my manga because I can't handle reading off a computer screen and I like collecting it. :seriously:

So far, I really like this website, it looks nice and it's easy to use. I've been recently using other anime/manga database sites but I've never liked them very much. The only thing I don't like about anime-planet so far is that the vBulletin and regular anime-planet accounts are not linked together but other than that, everything is great.
