Scanlators have lives too, you know. Most groups have a lot of projects and too few staff, it's not like they concentrate their efforts on one series at a time.

That said, I don't know if Kaibutsu-kun is a monthly or weekly manga, or how many pages there are in a chapter. If it's weekly or bi-monthly with ~20 pages, that's indeed pretty slow.

I'm not mad at the scantalators. I'm mad the at the people who update the chapter counts around here, when the chapters aren't translated.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun has a monthly release, so it is kinda frustrating.

They can't base the chapter count on how many illegal scanlations are available.
Some series take quite a while to be completed. Even when the series ended like a decade ago.
The counters can't wait for that shit when they know the actual number of chapters.

Holy crap, that was some manga marathon... I've just read the almost 20 volumes of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan manga practically in one sitting. >.< It's a very good manga, but it's more just because I didn't see a reason to stop, had nothing else to do last night and today. It started meh, I contemplated dropping it many times over the first few volumes, but it did eventually get really good, so I'm glad I stuck with it.

I guess I've missed this kind of long school life manga, where you really have the time to get attached to the characters, over a large number of volumes, and many years in the story. Been a while since I've read anything this long. I think this will eventually be one seriously nostalgic story to me, like for example Love Hina came to be.

And as always after these stories, I feel pathetic for never taking studying seriously after the middle school... <.<

Anyway, 4/5 stars. Could easily be more if the boring phase in the beginning hadn't lasted for multiple volumes.

Centaur no Nayami finally introduced an Antarctican serpentine character. Finally!
Those fuckers have been mentioned several times now, and is by far probably the most interesting "race" in this manga.
And the character is a girl too. HURRAY!
Considering how much this manga has prejudice as a topic, I find this to be a long awaited addition, as the Serpentines seem to be the race facing the most discrimination. Kinda understandable though.

Ah, I should've said "the almost 20 scanlated volumes". The manga has a total of 23 vols. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest, maybe I should find myself the raws... Nah, too bothersome with my current level of Japanese, I'll just wait patiently for the scanlators to finish.

DMT/WAM: Some Chinese dickwad dropped spoilers in a Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun video of chapters that there are no English scanlations for yet.

Oh my god! Hunter X Hunter returns...!! ... as a double oneshot for publishing the movie, meh... well, I hope it means he will continue sooner.

And it's the past of Kurapika, despite aaaaaall that Ryodan arc for him, we haven't seen anything from his past, well, at least we see something new about him, we miss him...

There's few series I better envision an anime for in my head than this one. I imagine it being made by Sunrise. That would be pure bliss.

holy crap Sailor Moon is getting intense! The story is so intelligent, a lot more then people think. I cannot wait to get the next volume! I don't want to spoil it by reading it online so I have to wait for the holidays!
