Wait, why so much focus on the Sentinel chapters? I don't give a crap if it is a homage/parody of some Japanese show from the 70's. You're supposed to focus on Fran!
The sentinel chapters weren't even that good in my opinion. The first or so was good, but the rest were weird in a bad way, with a jittery continuity.
We never get to know why or how the second sentinel joins up with the first, making it hard to take the follow-up chapters seriously. As if the second sentinel's story wasn't hilariously backwards by itself.
And Fran is barely in them!
This was more of a Common writer commentary than a Franken Fran review.

Focusing on those chapters in a Franken Fran review is like focusing primarily on Neji when reviewing Naruto.
There's initially something good to be found, but then what is the point of continuing the focus?

I get that those chapters were the reviewer's "gateway" to appreciating the manga, but what the hell? We barely get to see him comment on anything related to Fran!

Well this was disappointing.
