Weekly Manga Club Lineup - Josei Track - Oct 10, 2009

I'll post one of these each week, and will make an 'archive' subfolder in here for the old threads (in case others want to read/participate)


What is the Weekly Manga Club?
-----------------------------------------
The WMC is a group of manga fans who want to expand their horizons, read a lot of new manga, and help out the site by brainstorming possible recommendations, disussing in the forum manga threads and adding personal manga reviews. Multiple 'tracks' can run at once depending on readers' interest. The week starts each Friday listed in the topic title and runs to the next Thursday.


How do I participate?

1. Read the manga in the below list

2. Discuss your thoughts in the Specific Manga Discussion threads (what you thought of the manga, recommendation ideas, etc)

3. Add a personal manga review!

4. Add recommendations (if you can think of any!)

5. Once you've read everything, respond to the lineup thread with a summary of info (so others after the fact can see a summary of opinions and get their own ideas for recs! ^_^). I'll post this template once I finish the manga.

Hataraki Man - 1 vol is available of 4 (this one sounds like it'll be a good rec with Candy Life)

Desert Storm - 1 vol

Katana - 2 vols available

The Embalmer - 4 vols available - 1-2 for the 'official' manga club and 3-4 if you want to read more ^^. Embalmer I suspect will be a decent rec with Katana

total: 8 or 10 vols.

so heres the template i'm thinking of for each wrapup of the manga club (basically once you finish the set of titles, you'd respond to the weekly thread posted here with the following info; this way, others in the future could have a summary of what the group thought, which could help them with their own recommendations and such.)
