bokura ga ita manga - same as anime?

can someone who has both read the manga and seen the anime tell me if this synopsis also works for the manga?

It could work but it's not like characters have personal problems, both that is, Yano is the only one having problems not Nana, this is kinda miss leading as I see it, my synopsis to the manga (cuz you already have one for the anime) would be the next:

Nanami Takahashi just started her junior high school life, where she awaits to have lost of friends and memories, Motoharu Yano is in her same class, a charismatic fun going guy, rumors roam around school that he goes out with 2 or 3 girls at a time; after many confronting moments with Yano she starts to develop feelings for him, after confessing and accepting each others feelings they begin to date only to find out that Yano holds many tragic secrets from his past relationship, Nana is now confronted with the reality that she is not the only one Yano loves, will their relationship pass all these adversities?


That's what I would say as far as the manga, the Anime actually ends at Vol 9 and the manga is still running on Vol 12, though the anime and the manga don't differ much.
