Hey hey hey.
I'm in kind of a pinch. I have no money but I still want to buy all kinds of manga I'm sure most of you experience this same problem. So I decided I was going to try to make my own home-made manga from scans. I just finished up and I'm fairly happy with the final product. I learned some things on the way so if/when I try to do the next one I'll be more prepared and hopefully be able to make it nicer. I used book binding tape to make the binding. I also had to go through and connect each page to the page before it with thin strip of the binding tape. I did the first chapter of The Hour Of The Mice for this one. I'm thinking I want to do a doujin one next. Here are some pics of the final product. Let me know what you think http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2wn8xao&s=5 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=28t9fz7&s=5 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=24l1qgn&s=5 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=24wc55e&s=5 |

Let me see if I have this right.
You illegally downloaded scans from the internet. You proceeded to print said scans out. You bound them to together to make a manga. Congratulations, you now only one step away from being a fully fledged pirate. All you have to do is sell it now to someone and then make more and sell them as well. Then you will have the coveted title of "Bootlegger". Or, if you prefer, "Amateur Counterfeiter". |

I hate to think how much that would have cost in ink :D
Probably about the same as buying the manga :D Why not get an electronic pdf reader? Oehr even started a great thread on it: The Best Ways to read Digital Manga H.

Mostly I just did it for fun. I thought it was kind of funny and cool. Guess not :[ Apparently no one has ever read manga scans online or ever streamed anime online here at anime-planet. I won't ever do it again, promise. |

Most have streamed and read manga online or "leeched off" the anime industry in one way or another, it's just that people try not making threads about it on the forum. ![]() Cheer up and cheers!

I do own quite a bit of manga, but I prefer it in an electronic form to read on my DS because then noone will laugh at me for reading "comics" at work :p
So I have downloaded a lot of manga in my time. I guess its like the only way to keep up with Gantz over here >.< H.

Feel not bad about your perceived misdeeds, me matey. For I am most sure that those very same people who criticize you were boasting of their 3.0 seeding ratio most recently.
But, honestly, the ink costs is going to go through the roof. I would recommend you buy a Kindle or iPod touch to read them. |
