I've read Monster (18 vols) but have stalled at episode ~42 (out of 78) on the anime. The two are essentially the same (I've not noticed any blatant differences), and the anime is widely considered to be faithful to the manga. The anime covers the entire manga.

It's 2 volumes in the U.S. Anyways, Trigun and Trigun Maximum are technically different manga because they were serialized in different magazines by different publisher.

Anyway, it works if anime entry is of acceptable quality.

The Samurai Champloo manga has exceedingly little to do with the anime. The anime came first. The manga covers the first episode or so and then does its own thing for the rest of the two volumes.

Ah, I guess this is partially my fault. I'm rather certain this was one I was going to write and never got around to doing so. Either way, if the anime entry's quality is suitable, it can be used.

The synopsis for Angelic Layer (anime) will also work for the manga. I've read all the volumes and all the episodes.

Though a part of me wants to rewrite the synopsis. The one for the anime doesn't really include the on-going theme: It doesn't matter what age or height you are. That's part of the reason that Misaki loves playing Angelic Layer.

Oh, It was 3 when Darkhorse first published it (when I bought my copies).
I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear, I know Trigun Maximum is a different manga. The point I was trying to make was that the Trigun manga only covers half of the anime. But the anime synopsis can be used.

Is this somewhat on hold? Because I can confirm that the synopsis for the Ranma 1/2 anime is also completely applicable for the manga. I have completed the anime and the manga. My original post from over three months ago is below.

3. The anime covers most of of the manga for the first 20 volumes or so, but the anime finished airing while the manga was still being written so some of the manga is not covered in the anime.

4. I have completed all 161 episodes of the anime and the OVAs, and read the first 15 manga volumes so far.

It isn't on hold. It is merely awaiting further confirmation. Your post wasn't ignored and I added it to the list. However as it states in the first post, we need two people to confirm that they are the same before we use the anime synopsis.

We wait for a second confirmation before adding the manga with the anime synopsis just to be sure that they are the same. Before we created this thread sothis had some people saying that Onegai Teacher and Onegai Twins are the same as their anime counterparts and others saying that they are completely different.

As soon as someone else confirms that they're the same we will work on putting it up. Likewise if you can confirm that any of the titles on the list are the same as their anime counterpars we can put them up as well.

School Days, 2 volumes. Only the last chapter (or so) is different.

Cowboy Bebop, 3 volumes and
Cowboy Bebop -Shooting Star, 2 volumes. It's been a while since I read them so sorry :S I think they were just random made up adventures with the characters yet I think one of them covered part of the anime series. Same characters and all that though.

Zombie Loan: 12 volumes. End of anime deviates due to shortness but the synopsis works.

I'll confirm Trigun as well, the anime's just a little different at the end to give a 26 episode closure.

Zombie Loan is already in the DB.

I've added School Days to the list as well, but I've left off cowboy bebop for now, that sounds a little more confusing. Thanks for confirming Trigun - that's now been moved to the waiting to go up list :D

Oh yeah :S I see it now. Only appears when you hyphen it.
I'll see if i can find CB again and sort it out.

Edit: Neither cover events from the anime and both cover events unrelated to each other.
The anime synopsis is vague enough to cover both though, but it's your decision.
