I wouldn't say events, but moments of Hajime no Ippo has pulled some tears from my eyes. It can be just so genuine and honest and really pulls on the heart strings.

Bitter Virgin.

When Izumi's baby was stillborn.

And of course this scene from Kodomo no Jikan

Bitter Virgin was so friking dramatic that in the end I couldn't share not even one tear. It's exagerated.

...come on.
I'm not actualy a cry baby myself so the only manga that I actualy shared tears was Deep Love and Dear Friends. The mangaka style is wonderful.
