<3 the confession scene, and the ending
Ahh, well, I have to say I also got teary there. Also in Maison Ikkoku a few times...

it's just too depressing seeing Godai and Kyoko struggle with the memory Sōichirō--something far more pronounced in the manga than in the anime.

Ahhhh, finally someone who understand the beautiful love relationship between Godai and Kyoko. But the ending did make up for all this. That ending was soo happy and positive, it makes me think that even I can find true love some day...

Been a while since I've been in the manga section. Strangely, while I find manga to be able to get me quite emotional (more frequently than any video media), I have a much harder time crying with it (as opposed to text-books or video). However, these will get me into that pre-tear stage. Get ready . . . the list is long. I'll leave the description vague enough to avoid spoiler (it'd take forever to do that) but descriptive enough that if you know, you know. And some of these keep you high strung the whole way.

Hitsuji no Uta - Chizuna's release
Hotman - Too many to list
Sono Mukou no Mukogawa - Kaina's wish
Ai Ren - The whole damned thing
Present - Too short to spoil
We Are Prismriver - The end of the day
Nemuranai Machi kara - Visiting mom
Scarlet and Scarlet - Marisa
The Town of Evening Calm, The Country of Cherry Blossoms - the evening calm
Aiesu - Hiromi's whole story
Boku wa Ne - Too many to count
Haru yo Koi - Every other decision Sae makes
Zero In - Kina's exit
King of Thorns - The "griffin"
Orfina - The escape
School of Water Business - Aki's tale
Spring Snow and Flowery Winter - Too short to spoil
Kodomo no Jikan - 1000 cranes
The Moon and the Hourai Doll - Ribbons

And from the trap game, Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari - Ayu's Christmas

There's many more, but that's all I can think of right now.

And surprisingly, Bitter Virgin got little out of me. I think it's cuz some of it doesn't "jive" with my experiences with all the situations in the manga.

Kodocha
when Hayama almost dies and when he yells at Sana-chan about how he's the one who's going to be lonely

Ayu no Monogatari - the ENTIRE FREAKING THING! Darn you Purplemo!!!
Koori no Mamono no Monogatari
when Blood realizes he's hurt Ishuca and freaks out

Immortal Rain
when Rain pretty much dies right in front of Machika

Hikaru no Go
when Hikaru is struggling with Sai's absence

Boys Next Door - again the whole thing
Aiesu
All through the Hiromi angst

I cry really easily, so the list goes on and on, but we'll leave it at that.

Ah, forgot about Immortal Rain. That's one of the best shoujo/shounen works out there. I agree with you on the scene.

And you know you love Ayu no Monogatari ;p. Have you read Host and Reina no Unmei? They won't shred your heart as badly as Ayu but they'll still claw at it. Pao's Tale might get to you too.

There's a reason why the Deep Love series is known for tragedy . . .

Yea. Read them. Was depressed by them. Didn't hate them, but will never read them again.

Yeah, I don't see myself reading the Deep Love series ever again either. Great series, but not something you really want to go back too. Makes Saikano and Ai Ren feel like a trip to Candyland.

Deep Love series and Dear Friends made me depressed é__è I can't tell which one is sader, but they sure are the saddest manga I've ever read, both of them were written by Yoshi.
Most of Yoshi's stories are very sad... everytime I'm reading (or watching) one of his works, I know I will cry, and just like everyone, I probably won't read Deep Love or Dear Friends again.
