The 5 Flying Devil Fruits (One Piece Spoilers)

In One Piece chapter 169, it was stated by Pell that there are only 5 known devil fruits that grant the power of flight,

but have we seen all 5 already?

I fished around a bit, and I came up with a few possibilities, though I'm sure there's more out there.

1. Smoker: Moku Moku no Mi (Smoke Smoke Fruit)

2. Pell: Tori Tori no Mi (Tweet Tweet Fruit) Model: Falcon

3. Marco: I'm not sure of the name (Mythical Zoan, Model: Phoenix)

4. Shiki: Fuwa Fuwa no Mi (Float Float Fruit)

5. Caesar Clown: Gasu Gasu no Mi (Gas Gas Fruit)

I think Buggy, Laffitte, and Pierre are highly debatable suggestions too...

I think you have to ask yourself what you constitutes flying. Pell and Marco are definitely two of the flying types, but I wouldn't count Smoker or Clown. What they are doing is a bit different from flight. They can change their bodies to a form that floats, but even counting that they are able to propel themselves, I wouldn't classify that as actual flight. Buggy can levitate his parts, but again I don't really see that as flight. Shiki well the fruit says it all, float-float, floating/levitating isn't the same as flying even if he's called the Flying Pirate. We haven't had Laffite's Devil Fruit confirmed but if his wings come from his Devil Fruit then he'd obviously be one as well. And Pierre is definitely a flying type.

So out of the ones listed, I'd say you have three that I would classify as flyers and one yet to be confirmed. The others I wouldn't call flying for the reasons I listed.

^ I agree with the above. I'm just going to add that I'd first list Marco in the ''legendary animal fruit'' group that was mentioned when X Drake first transformed into a dinosaur. I guess you still could put Marco in both, though... I'm not really sure how Devil Fruit listing works.

EDIT: Scratch that. X Drake's is from the Ancient Zoan types and Marco's is from the Mythical Zoan together with Sengoku's Buddha.

That makes some good sense, but has Pierre been confirmed as a fruit? I know Laffitte hasn't been established as a fruit or something else, for all we know he could be a Skypean.

Well, Pierre is a strange case. He can fly in his original form, but according to OP Wiki:

Pierre ate the Uma Uma no Mi, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit which enables him to turn into a Pegasus or a full horse.

So a pegasus is a flying horse. Despite the power of flight being redundant I'd still say it's a flying type devil fruit.

I don't think the fruit itself actually gives him flight though. The wings could just come from Pierre's original form.

Hrmmm, After looking into it some more. Uma is Japanese for horse. So it's the horse-horse fruit. So yeah, looks like he doesn't count as the flight comes from adding wings to his horse form.
