I started reading Luno which is from the manga-ka who did Lament of the Lamb. It's a one-shot so it doesn't strive to be especially deep or anything, and I doubt I could make an opinion without finishing it.

Luno's not a one-shot. A one-shot is a chapter, usually published in a magazine or as a kind of omake at the end of a book. Luno's a single volume manga. Think of a one-shot as the little 2-3 minute vignettes at the end of a Mai-Hime episode or Candy Boy, and a single volume like Hoshi no Koe.

Luno's one of Kei Toume's "lesser works." The best, IMO, are Hitsuji no Uta, Kurogane, and Sing Yesterday for Me.

I read a volume of Pretty Face today because yall told me it involved a trap. Which it did, but it wasn't really a trap for the reader since we all knew it was a guy. And, like, the whole story was about his desire to return to manhood XD however it was pretty funny, and I may DL more.

You won't be disappointed. I really like the slapstick comedy.

As for me I picked up the first volume of The Sand Chronicles while I was at Waldens a couple days ago. I picked it up on a whim but I read the first couple chapters and liked it so I bought it. I was nearly in tears half way through it. It's really sad.

A TON of Touhou doujins. I'm amazed by the quality of some of these. I don't think I've read more than . . . say, 3 doujin that were good until I ran into the Touhous. Some of them are just amazing, especially the ones surround Perfect Cherry Blossom, Imperishable Night, Mokou, and Yukari. I've already listed some Touhou doujin in my one-shot/one volume top 10. I could see a few more in there pushing out the "real" manga.

On a side note, I'd love to see Mokou is Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. It'd be so fun to use her to kick Kaguya's ass (for the 2 people on this forum who knows what I'm talking about).

Just plowed through about 12 volumes of Vagabond. Pretty impressive manga. I can't even believe this is by the same guy who did Slam Dunk.
