Realizing I'm almost 18 and out of time for everything.
Even if I get a job now hopes of college and study abroad are pretty much non-existant. Even if I get my license now to enable me to find a job further away, it will take me at least a half a year before I'm able to drive there on my own...and it would eat at least 3/4 of my minimum wage paycheck just like it did my sister's... How does everyone make this transition type thing? Am I missing something here?

Wrong. All you have is time ;)
There's no cut off age for further education. If you want to go into college/uni, save thy ass off and apply in a couple of years. Go for a scholarship. Anything. Don't tie your own arms behind you with self-doubt and tough times ahead. The more favours you do yourself now, the more you'll thank yourself later! Quote:

I was recommended a site good for making new friends this week, I joined, uploaded pics and filled out profile etc and got some good traffic to my page. I actually connected with someone straight away - y'know when you chatting just seems so easy and is fun to do?
The other person actually started divulging stuff going on in his life and I was sympathetic towards him and extended the friendly ear. Then the last 2 nights, he has completey ignored me and my last few messages...what's up with that?? If he didn't want to talk anymore, a message saying so would have made me feel tons better than just nothing (cos I will never know how and if I offended him). Anyway, I'm so po'd about it I deleted my account this morning! That is the latest thing to ruin my day/week!
