Crazy Japanese and their future cars

Everyone knows the Japanese are pretty crazy, but their future cars are awesome!

I want one of those Mazdas!

I see larger versions of the sharing coaches replacing other forms of public transportation (trains, subway, buses) in someways.

The first one they showed has already been done except for the stupid robot thing. I saw a special on it years ago, a team has been working on it, believe it was in France.

Aside from the van, they all looked pretty useless(but even the van didn't look like it had many uses, aside from being a 2-4 passenger van with trunk space that could only hold a limited amount of things, that would have to be small enough to fit in those compartments. Not to mention, it would be a hassle in a city.. And the silicon... would that really protect a pedestrian? I guess maybe it wouldn't damage them as much going 10-15, but driving 50, silicon is going to do much.

If they're going to cover a car with breast implants, they should at least make them in the SHAPE of breasts.

The van looks retarded & pointless. It's not that hard to put cargo in & out of a van, wtf do you need a pullout rack like that for?!

The firs car & last car were interesting ideas.

if everyone was a bitter xenophobic loner we would need fewer cars

Meh, The First one is ok, being able to rotate 360. And the Mazada is ok, but a bit to stylized for my taste. I've seen all of them already in Wards and Automotive Engineering mags. That personal carrier (end of your clip) is really dumb looking and its pretty cramp to from what I recall. Its basically a slow moving scooter with a bubble around it.

Heres ya an awesome Mazda YouTube - Mazda Furai : Race Track

Yeah its not going in to production though >_< I am sure it would have been really really expensive anyway.

Reminds me of those light cycles from Tron.
