Urgh. I'm well aware that I started this thread ranting about whiny bastards, only to end up defending my right to feel insulted. Thought I'd pre-empt the ironic insults heading my way. Hehehe. Anyway, fuck it, I've got a couple of points regarding the above post:

1) You imply with your statement that the blacks who openly complain about the word nigger are the unreasonable over-sensitive ones. At the same time, the musicians who use nigger freely are somehow representative of blacks as a whole. I'd like you to justify that view.

2) Just because black musicians use the term nigger freely, does not mean it's fine for everyone else to do so. There are plenty of blacks who don't like being called a 'ho' or 'nigger' and would rather whites didn't pick up those bad habits.

3) Have you ever questioned why you'd use 'nigger' as a word to mean someone you just dislike? While in your mind it's become a neutral insult, I have a feeling the broadening of the insult has as much to do with racism as calling a black person a nigger. Just like calling someone a cunt or a pussy refers to the fact that they're weak like a woman. Flipped on its head, it implies something fucking annoying.

4) Finally, you assume that the word 'nigga' is not offensive anymore, whereas 'nigger' is. Considering that there's no actual meaningful difference between nigger and nigga except for spelling, I'd challenge that assumption. Does it make any difference if I say that for those who don't use nigger in everyday language (i.e. the majority of blacks and whites) that word is highly offensive? Despite that, would you still insist that the word has now 'moved on' and is neutral no matter what?

Finally, you and I are quite comfortable rambling with each other about all sorts of crap. However, I dare you to PM me with a rant in which you call someone you dislike a nigga. If the word is so neutral, so totally free of connotations, there should be no problems with it whatsoever, right? How many people who are self-professes liberal users of 'nigga/nigger' would actually face a black person who wasn't in on the irony and say 'You know that Pidjiken, what a fucking nigger!' and expect that black person to just assume it's meant as 'annoying idiot whom I hate'? Lol.

I don't think any of the ones refering to a Brit would actually offend them that much. They'd just smile condescendingly and think you a fool. It's very difficult to insult a group of people who, historically, ruled half the world.

Ho is black related term? I always thought is short for whore. That's the part of problem here - in our EU countries we get that racial slur via movies, boos and TV. Nigga is basicly another world for dude here while nigger is considered offensive and someone using that would be considered below level of cultural society instantly.
So we do not use nigger as synonymous with stupid here. It is rather same thing as "fucking Jew" or "unwashed dog raping pole". It is simply very derogatory and rude.

When we are joking about being blacks and whiteys in our company we always stress slave-master relation. It goes like "Yo whitey what's up?" "There is cotton in your email waiting to be harvested" "Ah, damn will be there in one hour".

Of course I cannot imagine such jokes if one of us was in fact black. Then we would still joke. I mean, when worker can make small cock jokes at his boss expanse he should expect boss will make jokes based on his skin colour right? And we are fine with small cock jokes here.

I've never taken ho as a black related term. Its also one I tend to use rather often and am pretty fond of.
