Why did you pick your avatar(s)?

So I really could have sworn this was done, but an avatar title search didn't find a thread that this would fit so here it is.

Here's the ones I've used on this forum that I can remember, and why I used them

Rena Ryuugu
I just used this as a placeholder for a little bit while I tried to find a pic. And she is good for coming up with creepy locations.

Keine Kamishirasawa
I just wanted a reasonably "normal" character and was too lazy to come up with a good location for her, even if she is made famous for "caving" people . . .

Chen
Another placeholder.

Rumia
Cuz she's the cutest person to ever tear up and eat people.

Reisen Udongein Inaba
Nothing beats someone who enjoys shoving suppositories up where the sun don't shine right? . . .

Suika Ibuki
The original. She's part of the source for my user description and probably the pic I'm best known by.

Flandre Scarlet
I used a static version of this psychopathic killer for a while just because she was another like Rumia, cute but deadly.

Cirno
The face. That's the only reason. I can't come up with a good location with her. But I like the face. So that's why she got a rotation spot.

Shinki
I've always liked Shinki and I don't quite know why since she's not really as dynamic as many of the other characters. Maybe it's because she could be the mother of Alice? Who knows. She's rather cute for the one who created and rules over the world of demons though.

Kagura Tsuchimiya
This is the real Kagura. While the anime one is okay, it is the one from the manga that is the better of the two. And I might as well change up the theme a little bit for my avis.

Minoriko Aki
Cuz for Thanksgiving why not use the harvest goddess?

Hina Kagiyama
Because she's Christmas-y looking. Even if she is just a curse goddess and is surrounded by curses.

Kina Monjou
She deserves a spot after re-reading Zero In. Not too many non-Touhous get that.

Sanae Kotiya
New baby cousin. And Sanae's so cute isn't she?

Fujiwara no Mokou
Finally she makes an appearance. She might stay for a while as she's the one I've been trying to get on my running avatar list for a while. Heck, she was the first one I wanted all along, even ahead of Suika.

Beatrice
Figured she's good for while I'm going through Umineko. Isn't she the prettiest person ever to eviscerate people and desecrate the dead by stuffing the bodies with candy or mutilating the faces?

Ange Ushiromiya
Boy is it hard to even find a decent pic of Ange. Still, I had to try to use her at least once. And her face just fits the mood I'm in right now anyways.

Yuka Kazami
To celebrate my ability to sleep in for the next five weeks. And Yuka just has one of the best personalities. Kinda like mine. ;p

Patchouli Knowledge
Might as well be purple right?

im actually glad u posted this thread as ur comments in th rate the avatar thread, peaked my interest in the other characters u used...

well i've already forced it down people's throats by know but i picked my avatar cause its freaking nagi from hayate no gotoku, which as people can tell from my sig is my favourite anime... and then in ep3 or something, when sakuya when she tries to teach hayate some gag-comedy, nagi does a bunch of 'costume changes' from the voice actor (rie kugimiya)'s previous roles of alphonse/shana/tio to 'slay' sakuya. As shakugan no shana is my 2nd favourite anime, it made sense to have nagi dressed as shana. Unfortunately im still trying to work out how to make the picture a bit more viewable.

else any other avatar i have will be based around nagi... or maybe ill have a few days off, but nagi is so awesome

They're both the same thing; the only difference is how you present yourself.

I don't put that much thought into my avatar. What I can make up for the location usually has more weight than the avatar itself. I actually don't like Cirno that much; I'm still waiting for a good one of Mokou, Yuka, or Shinki I can use.

And the reason most of them are chibi/SD is because those are the ones that look good when sized so small. Most normal proportioned pics I have would look hideous shrunken that size.
