My current rig (built it in December 2005, with upgrades made over time, and still running)

2.4 GHz AMD X2 4800+
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (nVidia nForce 4 Ultra chipset)
4GB OCZ DDR400 RAM
500GB Seagate HDD (main drive)
1.5TB Seagate HDD
Plextor PX-716 DVD burner
Plextor 48/24/48 CD burner
EVGA nVidia GeForce GTS 250 w/ 1GB of onboard RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card
Lian-Li PC-7 Plus aluminum case (silver)
650W PC Power & Cooling Silencer PSU
Zalman 9500 CPU heatsink (copper)

24 in. Dell U2410 LCD monitor
Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers
IBM keyboard
Logitech G5 laser mouse

WinXP Pro w/ SP3

My PC is like the Millennium Falcon; she might be "a piece of junk" by today's standards, but she's still got it where it counts.

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 5200+ 2.6Ghz
RAM: 4096MB DDR2 800mhz
HDD: 500GB Hitachi
Video: Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512MB (EVGA Akimbo Superclocked)
Monitor: 22" Viewsonic 1680x1050
Sound: Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum w/ 7.1 Speakers
Mouse: Logitech MX1000 Wireless Mouse
Keyboard: Logitech G15 (original model)
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit (I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 as well, but I don't use it as much because some of the Nvidia drivers and such don't work properly with certain games.)

Most of it is almost 4 years old now (Although, I swapped out my old 8800GTS 320, which I got for free, for a faster 512 one a couple years ago.) Haven't had much of an incentive to upgrade it yet, although, I'm considering getting a quad core at some point, maybe. Not in much of a hurry though, as all my games run at mostly max settings with a very solid framerate, and DX10 and 11 haven't gone anywhere yet, so I'll wait and see until some worthwhile progress is made in that department.
