I would be against a 18+ forum since it would be age discrimination.

for almost 5 years we didn't have any majorly ecchi threads on the forum, and no one cared... people discussed other stuff, and it was fine. now, we've had what, 1-2 threads or so that went a little long (because i don't have time to check the forum much anymore), and now people are getting angry that it might get taken away?

i dunno. if the moderators were nazis and censoring everything left and right i'd understand; but i don't understand how you can think we should allow people to talk about ANY interests without having any sort of rules. if that was the case, this forum would degrade to the point where only hardcore nerd otaku would use it. ;)

Never said there should not be rules, i said we should be able to discuss everything. Rules regarding how we discuss is fine to a certain degree, while rules regarding what we do and do not discuss is not fine.

I don't see how that thread and "shitting on kindness" is related though. No one has posted anything NSFW in it, no one has given links to hentai sites and no one has described anything "indecent" beyond the use of simple keywords. At least i can't recall seeing anything like it in that thread.

Disregarding this entire thread might be the best solution.

frankly i would prefer to see it otherwise...
they should definitly see someone getting shot in rl, only then could they understand how terrible it actually is, while its usually quite enjoyable on tv...

now when talking about sex on tv i am really refering to sex on tv...

but sex, usually involving a loving couple having sex which should be one of the most natural things in this otherwise really sick and unnatural world.

I read most of the thread here and I read threw some of the other post all I haft to say is with some comments I thought they were a little discouraging towards new members in the "post your picture" thread. As for the hentai talk I don't mind it but really, hentai sites are for that information and I come here for anime discussions and recs. Hentai is more of an adult subject and I find this site is more for members seeking information on specifically Anime. You may argue hentai is anime but take into consideration on the age it’s targeted to 18+.

Maybe I'm getting old or just my brothers are 13 and 14 and like anime. But I wouldn’t want them on this site if there were too much discussion’s on hentai honestly. Along with this I have seen a few younger teens on the site recently join up as well. But some of the "jailbait" and other things directed towards some members should be refrained imo. I just hope some of the ISSUP take into consideration the age range and legal conditions in the US and Canada since a lot of members are from this region, including the owner Sothis. And she has the biggest problem if they decided to do a crack down on pedophilias or such because this can come back in ways we don’t want to see happen to the site.

My point is AP is for anime and I have other sites for hentai but just think about what could happen if we turn a lot of the younger fan base away from the site they are starting to pick up anime a lot quicker lately, I have seen this with my brothers and their friends. Anyways thats my thoughts towards this.

I say, we should just have one dedicated tread about this ecchi stuff, however restricted. I agree that people should express there opinions and that forcing people we just provoke them.

But we need to put some censorship to what we can and can't say.
