I really don't want this site shut down, but on the subject of hentia. I think you should not talk about it on this site. I my self have never gone onto that thread for a good reason I will leave it at that. I just don't want leagal prossicution brought against Sothis for allowing this. She has done something nice for all of us. She takes her own personal time and created this site so all of use could be here and talk about anime. But that also doesn't mean some person that is not in high school or collage would get on this site. I mean that little kid just wanted to talk anime and thats cool. I just want us all to be friends and have a good time on this site. I feel bad that we even have a thread like this. Lets all just be firends and forget this even happend.

Pedobear's not from anime. Pedobear's from 4chan and 12chan. The fact that pedobear shows up in KnJ shows that the mangaka was specifically targeting the 4chan and 12chan crowd. And if you knew what they were like (especially 12chan, which is also known as 12andUnderChan) .

Actually, Pedobear is a corruption of the 2chan (the original japanese chan) bear. They aren't targeting them per se, mostly because I doubt they know much/care about them much. KnJ is still a Japanese manga and I doubt they would really know about those sites. Seven Seas tried to release KnJ in the U.S. as Nymphet but they dropped it after all the problems just announcing it caused. Actually, I'm pretty sure that 4chan has things like loli and guro banned. Also, I assume you are purposely not mentioning the other several CP-friendly chans.

Furthermore, I used those quotations in the context of purposely stirring up drama. Obviously talking about good and evil is too subjective to have a reasonable conversation about.

As for other threads with such titles as "Church of Pervertness!" and such, it has the content in the title. You can read what sort of thing is going to be in the thread by the title, you don't have to click that thread you know. (This is coming from someone who hates the "Don't like, don't look!" argument, but COME ON!)

Instead of trying to ban everything, use some self restraint and common sense.

Why not? There are hentai listed in the Anirec, and just look at the screenshots for Genocyber, Kekko Kamen, Elfin Lied and Ebichu. (All links NSFW)
The forum is an extension of the site and like it or not, people are going to see unappealing things.

there is not an elfen lied screenshot that is NSFW... the one girl is naked in one of the pics, but is covered up - you don't see anything.

also as a general rule there is no hentai in the database - the only exception is a few titles considered borderline (such as the edited version of kite and mezzo). sometimes the line between strongly ecchi and hentai is a close call, but i dont actively put hentai up.

Personally...I see valid points in both sides...but I think the key to solving this whole thing is moderation and consideration...everyone has a right to say something...but a lot of people know better than to say it...normally if something in the back of your mind is telling you not to say it...it's a hint...that it might not be right...bottom line...is to know when to draw the line...we don't need censoership...just consideration and moderation...of one's own person
