The man is a great speaker. He has a natural flow, melody in his speeches that I kind of miss in today's speeches. He knows when to place pauses, which words, syllables need to be stressed and he knows it perfectly. And his voice... It all just fits together.

Any of the 3D cell battery models and longer, all the way to the 6D cell battery model. People will say Maglites aren't the best flash light when it comes to light output, but over all, I feel they make a damn fine light at quite the affordable price.

Very tough, plenty of light output (especially the LED models) simple, clean design and thanks to said toughness, quite the defensive weapon. While the lights themselves are light, D cell batteries are not.

I carry a 4D cell model in my truck and a 3D cell model in the Miata.

the led lights are the best...because of light output and color temperature...how white the light is...i think....and the led last longer on a set of batteries.....i still use them even though i have better ...more expensive flashlights...

That's because each LED absorbs less energy than your standard incandescent bulb. They've been changing over the signalling lights on the railways the past year to accommodate LED's. Far more efficient and less call outs on faults.

there are several cars and motorcycles in europe that use leds as headlights....and i have a couple of led light bulbs for my hose...

Yeah, they're quite proficient little buggers; I wouldn't be surprised if they completely eradicated incandescent bulbs everywhere some time in this decade. Of course, there will still be a demand for halogen bulbs and fluorescent (another good light source), but the amount of power (and cost of) consumed in household bulbs is looking preposterous aside LED's.

Well, the woods aren't that far from my house. Actually own a good bit of wooded land behind my house.

Oh, and the 4D in the truck has a swapped out bulb for an LED replacement and the 3D is an LED model to begin with.
