Some have been peaceful, some have not.

I can understand the walk out/protest, but not sure about the random damage.

Politician B: Print more money.
Politician A: Are you sure that's a good idea?
Politician B: We need the support of the unions and the workers to stay in office; print more money.
Politician A: If you say so...

Politician: Prices seem to have risen as the amount of money in circulation has increased.
Unions: Prices have gone up, and the workers' wages are no longer sufficient.
Unions (to workers): You need more money! You cannot pay for what you need with current wages!
